IRC Applications (Clients)

I already made a post at the devnode forums about different clients but i thought i can post them here again.
There are tons of IRC applications which are a bit sexier then PJIRC. ;)
I listed some below:

pidgin (Multiple platforms)
bitchX (Multiple platforms)
irssi (Multiple platforms)
X Chat (Unix/Linux/Windows)
KSirc (KDE in Linux)
Konversation (KDE in Linux)
Kopete (KDE in Linux)
Colloguy (Mac OS X)
Conversation (Mac OS X)
HydraIRC (Windows)
mIRC (Windows)
Klient (Windows)

Many people say irssi is the best but my favourite choice is xchat and mIRC atm. xchat runs on linux and window.
mIRC is actually made for windows but it can be used through wine in linux.
There are also tons of addons for mirc like gamersirc, nnscript, etc. just google for them if you want to know more abuot them.
Maybe if i find more freetime ill release DevIRC someday. Its also some addon for the mIRC client.
Anyway i just wanted to post some clients of you dont like that PJIRC. :)
I know alot people also use mibbit.com which is also some kind of webchat thing like PJIRC

Great!

Good idea :)

I am currently using mIRC and it seems fairly user friendly. It didn't take me too long to figure out the basics.

mIRC's not bad.

Yup thats true. I am using mIRC too but with some own scripts/snippets. Its pretty stable and pretty easy to understand. But recommended for windows users.^^
ACtually you just need to set the connection infos like nickname, email (which can be fake ofcrouse) etc. and type /Server irc.devnode.net to connect. Thats it.

WIrc is not bad too ;)

yeah xchat pwns, but wirc (watts's irc client, as i named it), simplified has no better gui than xchat, but has some nice scripts which i am writing in pyhton, currently this takes 3 scripts, reslap (halfly bugged), chanserv helper (downloaded), fishtank (i built this for ##fishtank at freenode). thinking of making more scripts which would make life easier.

yeah i tested devirc's previous RC and it was fine, but now greeny wants not-with-dll-crap-irc-client, so i'm leaving him to have time to finish it :)

Cheers
